New userstyle to make deviantART all shiny and awesome looking.
Uses RGBA and CSS3 gradients, so it may not work in anything older then firefox 3.6, and I hope it works in new webkit builds, but I haven't tested it at all.
Backgrounds by `hameed, and is super awesome and stuff and can be found at: [link]
I am aware that it doesn't skin any of dAmn but I may update this soon (read: when I feel like it)
Updated 30/08/10: Fixed certain issues, and skinned more pages.
Updated 18/09/10: Fixed the new dA header. At the moment, this only effects beta testers, but if/when it rolls out to everyone else, they can start to use the new version c:
It's kinda like telling a guy 'stop wearing Wal-mart sneakers and start wearing 6 inch high heels'. The high heels might be nicer, but he's more use to sneakers.
No, it's like telling a guy to stop wearing paper bags full of metal spikes and get some real shoes.
IE, assuming you're not running windows 8, is bad. It's not a matter of "what you're used to". It is objectively a bad browser, and you will get a significantly better experience from one of the other browsers.
"you will get a significantly better experience from one of the other browsers." How so?
I don't need oodles of bells and whistles. I prefer a simple, straight forward layout. (can't stand those ugly rounded cornered windows. I grew up with Windows 98 and XP and Vista. Yes I know. Don't harp on me about that.) Just the address bar, menu bar, back and stop buttons, status bar, zoom feature and I'm done. And ugh. don't get me started about Windows 8 ~*shudders*~ ugh. Just looking at that makes me feel insulted.
Firefox and chrome have significantly better performance, support modern browser features that make websites better for you, better memory usage, more secure, and in the case of firefox it cares far more about your privacy.
IE earlier then 10 is just bad. Continuing to use it is bad for the internet as a whole.
You go to the stylish options and you can turn it off right there, or go to about:addons, click on the userstyles tab, and click uninstall next to deviantGLASS
If you're installing userstyles you have at least some degree of control of the machine, so install firefox or chrome.
Thanks anyway
